Praxis Tests
Information on the teacher certification process and the testing requirements in Delaware and the surrounding regions, visit the Center for Excellence and Equity in Teacher Preparation’s Office of Certification and Accreditation.
ONLY take this test if informed by your advisor!
In most cases our students do not need to take this exam because of meeting the requirement of earning a 3.0 GPA two semesters prior to student teaching or submitted ACT/SAT scores.
If you are informed that you need to take this test, then students must pass the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators tests in reading, writing, and mathematics according to the State of Delaware guidelines for Upper Division Clearance. This is not an exam for teacher certification! Students can take a test an unlimited number of times in order to achieve a passing score.
