CEHD Assistant Research Professor Discusses Educator Mental Health
In a recent article in The 74, Leigh McLean, assistant research professor in CEHD’s School of Education and Center for Education and Social Policy, discussed the need for greater mental health and well-being support systems for educators. McLean also emphasized that teachers and students in underserved communities are often struggling the most and need more targeted support.
“Especially through COVID, we’re putting the emphasis on teachers themselves to support their own well-being. But we’ve created a system that is not supportive of their well-being,” McLean said.
